This car really spoke to me. We just repaired and upgraded the head gasket and carbs and I was able to spend an hour driving it this week. It was pure bliss.

If I had to tell you why I was so moved, I would start with its fully-sorted engine and driveline. It’s smooth and predictable, and dare I say, dependable. It tracks nicely and carves through turns precisely. It also looks really good.
The perfect, warm, fall day, with a lot of gold on the trees and hillsides, somehow amplified my delightful drive.

But it’s actually something a little more subtle that makes this car so spectacular. This is a 1500CC, drum brake car. It is the most basic of MGA’s. And that’s what got me most excited about this particular car. It’s so much fun. It’s so basic. It’s such a pure and simple sports car that it’s hard not to love it. It’s unpretentious; it’s not amped-up. It’s just a good, solid sports car that’s never going to win any races on the street, but boy did it win my heart.

If you’d like us to sort out your MGA and make it sing, please give us a call. We’re happy to pick it up. We’re always looking for Great MGS’s that we can sell to our clients and I’m sure we’ll have more.! In the meantime, you’ll see this one at car shows throughout New Jersey where you’ll find the owner, Frank, with a smile on his face!
