Claire was extensively restored by a British car shop owner and mechanic from Wisconsin, who built it with all his favorite upgrades. Sadly, he passed away way too soon, so now it’s time for someone new to enjoy the fruit of his labor and passion.
He did great work, so here you can purchase a well-sorted car with tons of upgrades!

Claire’s primary upgrades include front disk brakes, a 1275 engine with Eaton supercharger (a kit that we sell, click here for more details), Datsun 5-speed transmission, dual master cylinders and a cross flow radiator for improved cooling performance. Claire also has beautiful, nearly new 14 inch chrome wire wheels, properly mounted on the original spline drive setup. An SU electric fuel pump and vacuum gauge are nice additions, as well!
Claire drives nicely and is a hoot! Quick and fun. Tires are 185×14 and just a few years old. Lots of grip!
The dashboard is from a later Sprite… we can put in a proper MK1 dash if you prefer! (This one works just fine.) The covering is a bit marked, but it still looks good! We are happy to upgrade the dashboard for you if prefer! Seat belts are lap belts. We can add three point inertia belts for the new owner!
Top, tonneau and windows are nice, lots of car for the money!
