Elle is just about ready to depart for a new home in Virginia.
We prepared this car for a client in Michigan about a year ago, and he needed to sell it, so we got the car back and went through it one more time with our checklist in hand and eradicated any and all issues. It is thus a real delight to drive this car today, even in 40° weather. This car provides a nice testimonial of what’s possible with the 948 Engine and a five speed transmission.
You’ll notice in the photo above that I’m turning about 3200 RPMs at 60 miles an hour, which is downright pleasant even on a cold winter day. This is one benefit from the Ford five-speed transmission that’s in this car… overdrive!
When these cars are set up properly, they are quite capable, and quite pleasant to drive, even with this somewhat under-powered 948, I still found the drive spirited and quite pleasant with plenty of power!
