Bugeye wheels are old. They are usually bent by now (after 65 plus years). Hence, Minilights are a great choice, strong and round. They rarely crack.

This original Bugeye wheel, however, is cracked, and that means its service life is finished. Notice the marks around the depressions for the studs. These are cracks from over-tightening, or from age and wear. remember our little lug nuts should only be torqued to 38 foot pounds, not the 80 or more foot pounds used for most late model cars, which, if applied, will strip your nuts, stretch your studs, and potentially crack your rims.

Make sure to check yours for cracks, especially around the holes for the studs. If yours are damaged, we always have a selection of original wheels in stock and for sale. We also have reproduction Minilite aftermarket wheels available, which are guaranteed to look sharp (and be round!) on your Bugeye!
