Now SOLD to Carter and William in Illinois! Congratulations on Bugeye #446!
We’ve knocked $1000 off Dino’s price. Check it out! Lots of car for the money!
This is “Dino” (AN5L 43896), a 1960 Bugeye titled as a 1961. This car came to us from Washington after a long restoration by a true Bugeye-lover. The chrome correct knock-off wire wheels are sharp and the paint shines nicely… this one is a looker. And quite solid. And Dino is quite nice to drive… we’ll have a driving video as soon as time allows.

Dino has a good 1098CC engine (the later more desirable 1098 with bigger bearings) coupled to a good four-speed rib case gearbox. The engine is strong and fit with Weber downdraft carburetor, electronic ignition, spin on oil filter and exhaust header. It runs well… we prefer twin SU HS2 carbs for smoother throttle response but we’ll leave that up to the new owner (we have the SUs in stock). Some people like the simplicity of a single carb.

The interior is comfortable and sharp, and contrasts the green paint well. We’ve just added premium door pockets, door liners and door seals for the next steward. The wooden steering wheel looks incredibly handsome, as does the wooden shift knob. The carpet is older but still looks good. Lap belts are installed but we would also recommend installing three-point seat belts.
Tires are 175 (wider) and are from 2003 so while they are still fine they have passed their prime and are aged out, thus we suggest installing new tires before delivery

A nice-fitting, older stayfast canvas top is included, as is a two-piece top bow and very nice side curtains. There is no tonneau, but we can fit one for the new owner and recommend doing so for added cockpit protection. We can do this either in black vinyl, or in matching black canvas!

This is a great car at a great price! Click “read more” below for more photos and give us a call if Dino would look good in your collection!
