SOLD to Rob in Ohio. Congratulations Rob on being the happy new owner of our 327th sold!
We just got this Bugeye in from Oregon and it is a good one! This is “Mikki,” an excellent restored car. Everything was done when the car was restored. Any body issues were addressed with new sheet metal welded in place as needed. Floors are excellent. Paint is excellent, engine bay is immaculate. She was fully restored about five years ago.

The car is fit with its original 948 engine, four speed smoothcase transmission, and upgraded front disk brakes. A 12-volt power cut off switch was fit to the underside of the dash, a nice feature for long term storage and/or anti-theft. The car also has a nifty custom vinyl screen for the boot opening… snap this vinyl sheet to the rear bulkhead and your trunk is completely blocked off from the cockpit, which is a nice feature when parking the car in a public place, and you can see in the photos, there are also little pockets in the screen for storage.

A good tonneau came with the car as shown. No top is present, but there are bows, and we are happy to custom fit a new top for the new owner.

The wire wheels are great, in fact they look like brand new 60 spoke wheels, and the spinners are also new and barely show any marks, one more clue that the car has been driven little since the restoration. (These are usually scarred since you have to hit them with a hammer to remove.)
165 series slightly wider tires are present, and so is a nice wooden steering wheel. If you like chrome bumpers, this is a good one, although it is also easy to remove. As a reminder, bumpers are not required in any state for a Bugeye Sprite, and they don’t do much since they are so low. People love or hate them, and they are ultimately a nice chrome accent for people who like that sort of thing.

She shows 28135 miles, but I would guess that fewer than 1000 miles have been added since the restoration. An electric fuel pump is present, and we just put in a new gas tank. This is a great car, so do give us a call if you want to take Mikki home!
