NOW SOLD. Congratulations to Dave from Oklahoma for purchasing Pickle!
This is a 1959 Bugeye (AN5L 15320) we call “Pickle.” If you are looking for an impressive driver that won’t break the bank, this could be your car!

She has a recent 1275 with Pertronix electronic ignition and spin-on oil filter upgrade, as well as as well as twin-piston big front disk brakes (most Sprites with disks only have single pistons). Rotors are also larger than stock disk brakes…this is a very nice upgrade for better braking performance… larger front disks and a more powerful calipers make for better stopping distances. Transmission is a good rib case four-speed.

Pickle is painted in the original Leaf Green color just like when the car as new. It’s an older repaint with a few flaws but still presents nicely. Interior also retains some original features, like the correct green dash covering.

The wheels are also new and the tires have very few miles, installed in 2009.

This is a quick and solid car with a great exhaust note. In spite of a few paint imperfections, the car has wonderful curb appeal. Underside is very solid.

It has been very busy here and we have not yet had the time to repair a few items on the punch list for this car. But we are happy to go through the car for the new owner and address any outstanding maintenance items, as is normal for us before any car departs.

Interior is also quite nice, and it’s nice to see the original green dashboard covering still present and in nice shape too! Mileage indicated is 17,317 but actual mileage is unknown. There’s no top or tonneau, but we can fit those for you if you like. The car comes with a top bow.

If you want a striking car that looks great without being too precious, Pickle is a great choice! Call or email for more details!
