NOW SOLD to Larry in Northern Michigan! Well done and congratulations, Larry!!! #279!
This is an excellent car, perfect for anyone who wants an extremely handsome Sprite that they can drive, show and enjoy.

Take a look at the underside, which is beautiful! Original floor pans with factory drains are present and they are great… not gummed-up with undercoat (that might be hiding something)! This is a very sold car with a nice clean underside.

Come for a drive in the video below, which will give you a sense of how nicely this car drives:
This Bugeye has been extensively restored. The workmanship is excellent throughout. AN5L 25972 was the subject of an extensive restoration (and major investment) about 15 years ago.

The body is very straight. The interior is custom-crafted in saddle leather and vinyl, with leather covering on the dash, and we’ve built and added brand-new matching saddle Bugeye seats and foam with matching flame red piping. Very sharp!

Everything is well-executed. Note the spare tire cover and carpeted filler neck in the trunk. These small details best demonstrate the care that went into this restoration. This car also has a new gas tank, new master, slave and wheel cylinders and nice logo footwell floor mats. We also fit a new electric fuel pump. The radiator is a new reproduction of the original.

The car body is also “de-beaded,” and this is a very nice look, extremely well done. The cars originally came with a T strip along the tops of the fenders, but they look so much more upscale when it is removed. While not technically “correct,” the cars always look so clean without their fender beading, and thus we have had quite a few cars restored this way. I always wonder if this car was priced a little higher from the factory if the beading would never have existed, because the cars look better without it, like this one.

The engine bay is quite tidy, with the original 948 engine which runs strong with great oil pressure, and is fit with twin upgraded and rebuilt HS2 carbs (which were used on 948s in Mark 2 Sprites). The four speed original smooth case gearbox is also excellent. We have put in a new electronic fuel pump and changed many hydraulic parts to make the car more reliable. We’ve also put on new radial tires for the best ride and traction.

Top and windows are in nearly new condition. You can see them above.

There is a lot to love about Dora. She shows 29,065 miles, but actual mileage is unknown. Call or email if you are interested! We would be happy to load Dora into an enclosed trailer and send the car your way!
