We have owned this car twice, once in 2015 and once again in 2022, and in each case, we upgraded the car to new highs. In 2022, the Ford five speed was added along with the chopped windshield, all new brake lines and fuel lines and new 165 tires. A new fuel pump and tapered wheel bearings were added as well. A battery cut-off switch is installed in the driver footwell too. An aluminum radiator, alternator, airhorn, flip-forward nose are all nice features too! A GPS speedo was also added in 2022 which currently shows just 1026 miles, that’s the total number of miles since the car’s last visit to our shop in 2022, so the car was used for roughly 400 miles each year.
But more importantly, any car that goes through our prep process twice is going to be heads and shoulders more reliable than most classic British cars you might find out there. So give this one a close look if you want a Bugeye to drive and enjoy!
This car was most recently owned by a gentleman in Eastern Colorado who used the car sporadically, on really nice days (the chopped windshield makes the car a bit chilly below 70 degrees). He hired us to upgrade anything we felt needed attention before we shipped the car to Colorado in 2022. Now, he is moving on to other cars and asked us to sell the car for him.
Wheels are new VTO brand. Top and tonneau are super tight and should be replaced. A complete original stock windshield assembly comes with the car if you want to remove the chopped screen.
